What a beautiful funeral. I am so amazed at the things I didn't know about my uncle gordon. I love him even more. Thank you lewis' for being so wonderful this weekend and for all the strength you've shown these last years. From leslie's beautiful voice to the wonderful talks by rand, Laura, Sara, and carrie it was a beautiful service. Thank you aunt Kathleen for making us so at home and for years of support. You are the epitome of love and class. I'm so proud to be related.

During the viewing I was thinking about different experiences I have had with Uncle Gordon. For some reason the one that stuck out to me the most (and made me almost chuckle out loud) was when Uncle Gordon and Uncle Brent were patiently teaching a ten-year-old me how to play Hearts up at the cabin. Things were going smoothly, and Uncle Gordon and been characteristically quiet when Uncle Brent yelled, "Watch out! Gordon's shootin' the moon!"
I don't remember the outcome of the game that day (I'm sure Uncle Gordon quietly beat us), but I do remember those two taking the time to spend some time with just me. It really is one of my fondest memories and I'm grateful I have it.

I'm so grateful for the love I have always felt from all of you. There are no greater people in the world. Thank you for letting us be with you this weekend. The service was beautiful, and the company was great too.

We only knew Gordon from our temple service together. He impressed me by his dedication and service even when he was hurting. We so much appreciate all we learned from those who spoke at his funeral. We also thank you for being able to keep up without bothering you, through this blog. What a great idea.

At our last Stake Conference in Fort Collins, Bishop Keith McMullin, of the Presiding Bishopric made it very clear that we really do get out of this world alive. Our thoughts for what they are worth, "Gordon fought the good fight and won."

With much love, Harold and Ann Bradley
